The United Nations had chosen George Clooney to be a U.N. Messenger of Peace after recognizing his work in spreading public awareness of international political and social issues. The Michael Clayton star, along with co-activist Don Cheadle, received the 2007 Peace Summit Award for their work as peace advocates in Darfur.

Harvard University is steeped in a lot of traditions and for those who lean towards the arts, the most popular Harvard tradition is the Hasty Pudding.

Every year one celebrity is honored by the Hasty Pudding Theatrical as their Woman of the Year. A number of A-list celebrities have already been honored and this year it’s Julianne Moore who has been given the honor. Unlike other recipients of the award though Moore was not able have a parade in her honor because of the very bad weather. Oh well, you really can’t blame the weather.
