Raffaello Follieri, Anne Hathaway’s ex boyfriend pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering and soon agreed to give back $2.4 million. They prosecutors wantd the judge to impose more than four years prison sentence that Follieri agreed to when he pleaded guilty. They were somewhat disgusted that the former boyfriend of Ms. Hathaway sent the judge a photo of himself with the pope, in connection with his request for leniency in cheating his investors with their money by convincing them that he could buy the Catholic Church’s property for a cheap price. He claims to have deep ties with top clergy men in the Vatican, and this was his foundation to defraud his colleagues. Prosecutors are crying foul over this saying Follieri is manipulating the whole system. He has deeply hurt his investors by using the money entrusted to him for his personal greed like traveling on private planes, extravagant living, food, luxury, hotels, yacht and countless others.
