Here are a few folks, whose latest movies we’re glad to have gotten over with, and have us waiting for a comeback:

Nicole Kidman: This is truly proof that no one is invulnerable in Hollywood – with such great acting prowess, its almost shocking to see her in the BORING ‘Australia’. But we feel there’s a lot of light at the end of her tunnel.

Eddie Murphy: Does this guy NEVER learn? Repeating comedy formula isn’t really a wise move. He pulled it off in Nutty Professor, made it big as Donkey in the Shrek film series, but really, we DO NOT want to meet Dave. Ever.

Kate Hudson: She’s a cutie, but Bride Wars should serve as a warning that she should be careful in choosing her roles. We think she should stop chasing “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” and try something new.

The younger generation may only know him as the voice of Doc Hudson from the Disney-Pixar movie Cars, since he had retired from film, but he is most remembered for his classic performances like Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, opposite Robert Redford. This week, one or our most beloved iconic screen stars left Hollywood’s constellation. Let us take a moment to remember Paul Newman (1925-2008), one of the older generation’s certified major star. He died at home due to complications arising from cancer.
Paul Newman had truly transcended the age gap, capturing the hearts, not only of our grandmother’s and mother’s generation, but also held the distinction of being one of the very few actors who retained their good looks, even as they aged. He and actress Joanne Woodward, is hailed as one of the most stellar examples of marriage, having achieved 50 years together, in a world where marriage is often transitory and fleeting. He is also a genuine philanthropist, founding Newman’s Own, a line of food products that donates all proceeds of the sale to charity.
